During the Presidency there will be many formal and informal meetings, such as meetings of health ministers and experts. Numerous meetings of working groups of the Council of the European Union, expert groups of the European Commission and meetings of representatives of agencies of the European Union, as well as working groups and committees of these agencies, will be organised. Most of these meetings will be presided over by Polish representatives.
During the Polish Presidency there will be numerous conferences and debates in relation to the priorities established by Poland for the six-month period of the leadership of the European Union.
Currently in the calendar of the Presidency of the MoH there are 34 events, one of them being the Informal Meeting of Ministers of Health, which will take place in Sopot from 4 to 6 July 2011. Furthermore, in the calendar there is one ministerial conference, as well as several meetings at expert and working levels. One meeting will take place outside Poland, while the other meetings will be held in Warsaw, Gdańsk, Kraków, Łódź and Poznań. The organisation of the meetings is the responsibility of individual Departments of the Ministry of Health and its subordinate/supervised units.
